Eligibility Criteria for Swaran Jayanti Middle Merit Scholarship

- Current Enrollment: The student must be studying in Class 5th as a regular student in any Government School in H.P. Only students enrolled in these schools are eligible to apply.
- Continuity of Study: The applicant must continue their studies in a Government School of H.P. without repeating any class to maintain eligibility for the scholarship.
- Attendance Requirement: A minimum of 75% attendance during the academic session is mandatory for students seeking to be awarded the Scholarship. However, in cases of genuine acute illness or medical emergencies, this attendance condition may not apply, subject to verification by the Medical Board.

Application Process of Swaran Jayanti Middle Merit Scholarship
Offline Application
The application process for the H.P. Government Scholarship is straightforward and follows these steps:
Step 01 – Form Collection:
Interested eligible students should contact their Class Teacher in the school to obtain the application form for the scholarship scheme.
Step 02 – Form Submission:
The eligible students must duly fill the application forms and submit them well before the specified deadline.
Step 03 – Document Verification:
All completed application forms for the examination must be submitted to the CHT (Cluster Head Teacher) of the school much before the last date of submission. The CHT will verify the documents, eligibility, and applicant details.
Step 04 – Admit Card Generation:
After confirming the details of the applicants on the online portal, the CHTs will be able to download and print the admit cards for the candidates with technical support from BRC (Block Resource Centre) Primary.
Step 05 – Admit Card Distribution:
The class teacher will collect the admit cards for their respective students from CHTs. Subsequently, the admit cards will be handed out to the students, allowing them to appear in the exam on the scheduled date and time.
Result and Scholarship Disbursement
Following the conclusion of the examination, SCERT (State Council of Educational Research and Training) will prepare the result and merit list within a month. The allocation of scholarships per district will be based on the enrollment figures of 5th class students in Government Schools across H.P.
As soon as the result is declared by the SCERT, the scholarship benefits will be released in favor of the selected candidates. The scholarship amount will be credited directly to the candidate’s bank account through e.vitaran or any other mode as per the directions issued by the Government.
